Birch is lighter and you don't get MDF bugers. I will be using birch when I build my 4th order.

Side note, it's your car so you can just ignore my comment.....but I fail to see why you want the tweeters near your sub. You won't hear them at all inside your car. Unless your tailgating, which then I would put a component set in the trunk...still not on the box, it'll end up being a waste. Move those same tweeters to your A or B pillars and you'll be happier. But it's your build and car so do what floats your boat.

They're bullet tweeters, so they wont fit in any of his pillars without making some custom pods. We already told him about them in the sub enclosure, but he's set on doing it.

    Which amp

The Powerbass ASA 1100.5x for $220

    OR

The MB Quart ONX4.80/500 for $280

I have never worked with nor heard of powerbass. I have only worked with MB quart 4 channel amps, so I'm unsure of what the bass SQ is. But the 4 channel amps put out some clean sound and I would expect the sub channel to do the same, especially from MB quart. So that's my vote.

Powerbass has some excellent amplifiers. In my opinion, it's a draw... although I'm thinking the Powerbass may be SLIGHTLY better-built, seeing as how MBQ makes the Onyx line significantly less beefy than the Discus line was... However, I'm sure either amplifier will suit your needs.

    Never heard of powerbass? lol

I have a question, do I have to worry about like stereo or mono when hooking up my amp to the speakers? Can someone explain that to me

Also, I liked the MB Quart because of the option of having 1 ohm impedance, but if you think powerbass will be better I'll get it .

I think it'll be a draw, in all honesty... pick whichever one fits your subwoofer's needs, and the rest will be all good.

Your front and rear channels will be in stereo, hence there is a right and left speaker while your rear will be mono because it is unidirectional and there is only one speaker.
    Infinity all around.

I also plugged the stock tweeters back in. Sounds slightly slightly better with them.

I800 what do you think. MB Quart or Powerbass. I need reassurance. I really don't know if 250w rms will be enough for that sub (prolly will though)

UH lulz just REALLY took into account how huge that MB QUART one is. the Powerbass is 4 inches shorter.

I kinda have an idea. What if I bought two 8" subs that I could wire everything together to 2 ohms and make a 3 sub enclosure?

cuz if i wired it at 3 ohms i would get like 320w rms to each of the 3 subwoofers right? I would just get 2 of the Lanzar 300w rms 8"

There's nothing wrong with it but it's generally not done because it's kind of impossible to predict the characteristics and behavior. You'd certainly know after the fact when you get measuring equipment but I think it's also heavily influenced by the show quality of a mix/match install vs. a single theme or brand.

But, each speaker(assuming they're equal) adds ~3db output so there's definitely an upside too
