im a fan of 10 in subs...dont know what kinda sound ur lookin for but my 2 10 in. digital dynamics in a ported box powered by memphis 500d is more than enuff for me.had memphis 12's and returned for 10's...sound better to me.as far as highs and mids totally gut out all bose and replace.u wont be happy with subs and stock highs and mids...at least i wasnt.went with memphis 5 1/4 and memphis 6 x 9.the bose amp will not run aftermarkets speakers the way they should be...sounds like crap.

to retain the sw controls get a pac swi* (forget the part for pioneer, and if it works with your radio) as for the amp and speakers, there is an adapter from pac to retain them as well. Box really is more dependant on the sub and actual placement than anything, I like the sound of sealed, but some prefer teh sound of ported (ported is louder but sloppy to me)

Same here. I love a sealed box. Ported never really sounded right to me. I take my sealed box and set it right at the back of the trunk w/ the subs facing back. To me that's where I could get mine to hit the hardest and it sounds good with all types of music.

I also love small sealed boxes, usually the smallest allowed for the sub. I listen to alot of hard rock, and ported large subs just sound like a mess when the double-bass hits. My 2 8" Xsite subs in 0.4 cf boxes make you feel every hit, almost like the bass pedal of the drumset is right on the back of your seat!

Rear facing 12's in a sealed and braced box is the best way in any car unless running more than 2 subs.

depends on what sound you want, and the car layout. I have done cars where rear facing caused a drop in output as it caused cancellation (like when your subs are wired out of phase)
