Ok so here is the story my 97 prix is wired to hell from the prev owner. I don't want to have to take the hole head-unit and amp system out.The front door speakers are hooked up to the factory wires. But the amplifier is wired into the the stock mid's wiring. If I unplug the 2 front channels on the amp the front speakers still work. When I unplug the rear channels the front speakers go dead. Well that's not really a problem. The problem I have is how in the hell can you wire the rear mid's into the factory fronts.

I don't want to destroy a pair of $120 speakers by just putting them in wired the way they are because I don't know if they will get the correct wattage. I know im going to have to rip everything out and redo the hole dam system so I can actually get the front speakers on there own channel and so forth. But for now its cold out and the ground is soaking wet and im in the process of buying a house. So I just want to get them put in temporally until I get a warm dry place to do stuff lol.

I just cant figure out for the life of me how they got the speakers wired in. All the info I have looked at only tells me the wire colors for the front 2 and the rear 2 not the mid's. On another note when I took the door panel's off today the tweets are not even hooked up nor is there a plug to plug them in to like it just disappeared lol. I looked all over in the doors and everything but nota. I just want to get everything hooked up strait so I can actually tune the audio system. I cant find a wiring blueprint I can find the diagrams but not a blueprint. Like where dose the rear mid's and front door speakers wire together.

I can usually translate really well.

"niothing front speakers work" etc.. I gave up. Sorry dude. As for schematics.. or wiring diagrames, check the12volt.com
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Sorry ill edit it when I get back from shopping and picking the kid up from school it was about 1am or so. I was kinda tired and I know its all jumbled up. The12volt don't have what I need. I need to know where the factory speakers all meet up together if it is at the head-unit or somewhere else like pcm.

When you say unplug the front channels, do you mean unplug the rca's or disconnecting the speaker wires from the amp? Usually when you wire a 4 channel amp, you grab the front speaker lines from behind the deck and run those two lines to where the amp is located. For the rears, you just wire them directly to the amp. (So you dont have to waste 30ft of speaker line running the rear speaker leads...seeing that they're already back there) If you're removing the front channel speaker wires and the fronts are on but the rears go out....just switch them around.

Also, have your front speakers been replaced? If you look at them are they coaxials? If they are coaxials that would explain your tweeters being disconnected. If you connect coaxials with your factory tweeters you are dropping the impedance of each side and the amp may not be able to support it.
