so I installed my subs ( they sound amazing) and im looking to upgrade my stock speaker set. I know nothing about speakers, but i would like to put a set in and later add an amp to the set-up.

my question is what would be the best set up for my car, im looking to change all of this out for around 300 dollars. not sure if thats a tight budget or not.

also does anyone know if the 2004 grand prix has tweeters installed in the doors or are they mids? i would like to have a component kit in the front. but i dont really want to have to mount tweeters.

    thanks a lot guys!

They are tweeters and you will have to custom mount them. $300 is an OK budget if you buy from eBay sellers. I re-did mine with all Infinity Kappa's for about $275 with shipping. Sounds incredible and I get compliments all the time.

I did not get components for the doors... the difference in quality wasn't worth the hassle... barely noticeable.

all you want to do is get a set of components (polk audio) and run your mid wires into you crossover and then run the tweeters off there
