aftermarket headunit in 06 gxp

im trying to find an answer on this for a buddy, i guess he was told by ABC wearhouse that he couldnt put an aftermarket headunit in his 06 gxp (doesnt have nav, but has 5 button dic, and monsoon) because the DIC wouldnt work anymore? I have never heard of anything like this can anyone shine some light on if this is true or what would have to be done. thanks in advance

AFAIK That depends on the wiring harness used.

i did read about the door chime, etc which is no big deal. Thanks for the help guys, I did my system in my 98 and it was much easier without having the monsoon and stuff.

My 08 still has those... It depends on what harness you use.
