Thread: Accessory panel

I want to make a distribution block for some of my accessories that would only power on when the car is on can someone tell me where under the hood or in the interior I can tap into. a pic would be really nice. I don't to just piggy back off of a fuse.

There is a dedicated power drop that is behind the glove box. It has a 12v constant, 12v acc switched and ground. I don't recall what the power rating is, but if you require more power, then you can simply use the switched acc wire to power a relay for the power block.

The power drop is designed specifically for aftermarket use. It is not connected to anything from the factory and is marked as such with a sticker on it.

For heavier duty wiring, one of the main entry points for wires into the cabin is under the carpet on the passenger side, near the center console. You can easily put a primary wire through the boot for additional power inside.

Thanks I just want to hook up some leds and a CB radio and 4 usb ports for charging cell phones and bluetooths I am guessing that the power drop behind the glove box should be good enough no?

And this only has power when the car is started or in acc? You mean the thing that has the red cap covering it on the fuse block? Because I have one coming off there and that has constant power, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

toggle switches never thought of the the I can just power on what I want not a bad idea. Thanks
