it worked for a little bit but looking at the odometer now it looked like someone tried to roll it back half ass with a screw driver on the numbers
i got it off now and the gears look fine so idk what it is im probably just gonna get a new cluster
I know this may be a long shot, but reassemble everything and try pressing the trip reset a few times while driving. I reset my trip odo once while moving and got the same result. Mileage didn't change and I heard a clicking sound as if it was trying. Pressed the reset again and the odo started moving again like it should and hasn't done it again since.
It's free to try so it couldn't hurt.
