So I've ordered two of these little guys:
Amazon.com: Kicker 10C124 Comp 12-Inch Subwoofer 4 SVC (Black): Electronics
Now, after looking up the specs for these, I'm having trouble finding a good amplifier and box to put them in.

I'm really after a ported box, no questions asked, but I can't seem to find one with a high enough internal volume to match these subs.

As for power, I'm really awful at figuring this stuff out, but I was trying to find a 400-watt mono amp or something close, because I think I need to put 150-200 @ 4 ohm per?

    Basically... I needz halp.

well if you wire the subs together you will get a 2ohm load at the amp, so 500W @2ohm should be fine if you keep it clean, as far as box custom with propor tuning will always sound better than any prefab but also sealed is not a bad route you can always add pollyfill to give a deeper responce

    So a mono amp with 500w @ 2ohm?
Also, I think I'm going to buy a box, and then in the future build one.
As far as wiring the subs together, is it like wiring anything else in a series? One wire from one sub positive to one sub negative and then the other terminals to their same sign on the amp?
    So:
    AMP[+][+]SUB[-][+]SUB[-][-]AMP

You will need to wire them in parallel, not series. +of one sub to + of the other. then - to - on the other then + to - on the amp

Its okay to go too small.

Worst thing that will happen is the peak will be too high, and not as significant.

Means your sub will be safer.

    On wiring.

Both sub positive to the same amp positive terminal.

And both sub negatives to the same amp negative.

Oh okay, I just assumed since he said together that he meant in a series.
