Hi guys, Im just wondering if there is any way to burn a music cd that plays and has the track info (ID3).
Right now i have a cd , but the track's name are displayed as ("track 2" ect.)
I read my cars owners manual and it has a deal about playing mp3s.
lol hope i made some science.

    \\★// Update\\★//
    I just purchased this...

Precision Interface Electronics GM12-AUXv2 Connect a portable music player, satellite radio tuner, or DVD player to your factory GM receiver at Crutchfield.com

Ill let you guys know how it went when i receive it and install it. BTW i did it all over her chest and the cd text doesn't seem to work on the 07 factory unit. son

If the stereo doesnt recognize the format then you can stop yourself right there.

However, what you're looking for is called CD Text.

I used iTunes to burn with cd text, and it never showed up on any factory or aftermarket receiver, nor would a different computer see the into, BUT my friend has an Avia stereo (cheap brand) and it shows up on there. Wtf?

Use Windows Media player to burn the CD. Although people don't know this, there's different formats for ID3 tags as well as CD text. If that doesn't work I doubt anything will. I never knew my 04 supported CD text and I don't think all that much changed in there stereos.

I successfully burned a Cd Text using Easy CD-DA Extractor, iTunes, Windows Media Player, and many other programs,
but it doesn't show up on the car stereo. Anyways i bought this...

Im sure its not just me that has this problem! This product wont show text, but it will at least let me jack up my phone/iPod. Lets see how it goes when i install it.
