I am trying to remove the faceplate from around the radio and AC of my 06 Grand Prix. Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to remove the casing around this?

Take off the ring from around the ignition.
Grab the bottom of the center stack below the cubby hole and slide your hands to the sides.
Pull gently until it starts to come out.
    Work your way up.
    Unplug your D.I.C.
You have now successfully removed the center stack trim.

*You may need a flat head to help you out especially with the ignition ring.

How do you go about getting the ignition ring off? What is the best method to accomplish that?
