Got new speakers for my doors and I want to keep the stock tweeters running. So, can I connect the tweeter wires to the positive and negative prongs off the new speakers. Basically, two positive and two negative wires from different speakers touching. Thanks.

Your amp might not like it if you like to turn it up.

that'd most likely be a 2 ohm load which is kinda low, but not really in the grand scheme of car audio.

I dunno cause i hooked up my buick regal tweets the same way your thinking of running them years ago. They should be close to the same speakers if not the exact same since the concert two system on the 98 regal was identical to the standard system in the gp. They may be wired different tho, on the regal the tweet was separate but it plugged into the 5.25 speaker then from there it went to the HU. The tweets worked fine for the first trip to the store but on the way back i played missed the boat by modest mouse. Blew my tweeter in half and it wasnt even loud lol. Ide imagine you could run the wires power wires on the tweets in the middle to the stock tweets, however that would be a weird ohm load i think.
