The other day I was driving to work and noticed I had lost "part" of the illumination from the radio. The parts that are not lighting up include:"CD/PLAY", "TREBLE", and the "bottom half" of the 1-6 radio preset buttons (the prev, next, rom, rev, and fwd). Does anybody have any idea why only some of the buttons are out?

The car is an 03 GT.

The radio works fine, and is not a big deal to me that they don't work. But, I do miss the orange glow!!

not sure, but my 1&2 are out.... (not the PREV/NEXT on the CD though....) as with you, not a big deal, but would be nice to know what the fix is.... provided it's not replacing the radio

    Bulbsssssssssssssss?, yikes!!

How many are in the factory radio? I did a search and found a few posts. The radio sounds fairly easy to pull.

Sounds like a good project to work on the next time I am visiting friends in the Platteville area.

Has anyone done this recently or have any hints?

Removing the radio? Take out the cigarette ash holder, unscrew & remove the bottom trim panel on drivers side, pull the top part off (above instrument panel) remove fog light switch, put car in lowest gear & put on parking brake, pull dash off, remove screws, and remove stereo. Easy as that.
