Anyone have any idea about what this is. Took my car too get 2 12''s and a head unit installed and there is this bypass thing he said cost 70 bucks and that he could do it without this but he wouldnt suggest doing it because it could mess with the car. Anyone know anything about this?
I just wish the police loved my car as much as i do 3.5,160 Stat,HAI,ZZP F/R STB, SSAC Headers, Reptile PCM

    no idea.

You need an amp kit, a wiring harness for the head unit and a face plate to hold the head unit in place.

Ah, why would you not go for a better amp for the other speakers as well?

I can't believe they are still selling that relocation harness. I thought it was replaced by the Gmos-04 years ago. I remember when the bypasses first came out and I thought it was the dumbest thing I've ever heard of to have to mount your factory radio somewhere in your trunk.
And as far as a better amp. There would be little improvement unless the speakers are replaced as well. I know it doesn't have the most power but I believe the amp is a signal processor/x-over as well and is matched to the speakers. If you want to keep it simple and are happy with the factory sound, I wouldn't mess with it.

ah true, forgot about the crossovers.

I've also heard they have built in EQ filters to make the most of the factory speakers in the factory positions. That'd be the main reason I'd suggest looking at aftermarket if you're considering aftermarket speakers.

Funny how car audio becomes so complicated trying to integrate into the cheapness that the manufacturer installed.
    11 is louder than 10!
