ok so all you need to do is connect your old wires to the new ones, here are the colors:

    right
    +dark blue
    -light blue
    left
    +brown
    -yellow
Now all you need to do is hook the positives and negatives up to the new wires.

what new ones? I look at my speaker and I see two small little eyes for a negative positive I think. I just have a connector thing that is confusing me as I said I'm very noob. A friend told me I'd need to splice it and wire it or something but Im just lost.

edit : looked into it some more and a guy got a wiring harness to avoid cutting his factor wiring? where can I find that. the weird connector that was connected to my old speakers in my grand prix doesnt look close to what I need for my alpine speaker replacement. appreciate the response but I dont fully understand what Im wiring to or with what wires.

if I was lazy all I would do is cut the stock connectors and crimp on some terminals to the wires and connect as I showed in the previous post.

Beerfun...his explanation is very simple but probably confusing. First understand how a speaker works...

    HowStuffWorks "How Speakers Work"

Alright...so fundamentally speaking, you need a POSITIVE and NEGATIVE wire. You can imagine that pontiac never wanted us to have issues with these wires coming loose. Therefore, they created a neat little plug for the stock interface. Whiney defined the values of those wires for you...

Now just hook up the associated positive and negative values to the proper terminals. Hopefully Alpine made it simple for you to realize which of those terminals is pos. and which one is negative.
