Hi i have 2 questions, I recently replaced my battery and ever since then my aftermarket head unit has been having trouble finding stations it would be all static and slowly come in and then it would be fine now lately it start with static and then goes to nothing. The CD player still works on it so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what might be wrong....

Im going to try my buddy's head unit in it tonight to see if it works if that is the problem i was wondering since i have to buy a new head unit if a double dinn will fit in my 2001 grandprix gt I have seen it done i was just wondering if there is any special things you have to do since none of the car audio stores say that they will fit..

Thank you in advance for all your help.

What head unit do you have? I'm willing to bet its something in the settings. It may be set to HD, Local etc.. My alpine CDA-9835 would do that whenever I unplugged it from power.

I think on that radio there should be a sensativity button on the front. Probably says "Sens" on it or something similar. It changes the radio sensativity from local to mono. Try that.
