I have decided to make this my project for the summer. Take out the stock deck on a 2008 grand prix( just skips now no matter what cd is in there) and make a custom bracket and wiring for an ipod or itouch. just got tired of the cd player not working and the mess that is currently playing on radio. I am running into these problems as of now. bracket size for ipod, the wiring for my amp & subs, and a way to keep the ipod charged. the Ipod would be removable as a theft deterrent but I haven't seen any type of car setup like this around my area. if anyone has any ideas, just let me know.

    get faceplate.

Get aftermarket deck that supports USB/ipods.

    install.

    get "amp kit".

    install.

It's pricey but you can hide the iPod using this guy. You can also accept USB from HD or thumb drive.

He never said he wanted quality I don't know what he expects anyways since his source is mp3

Hell...Pandora would be a better option

It also doesnt play cd's which is odd to me but normal considering the current trends of "cool" and not sound quality.

But its a VERY high quality deck. Very well built, just the audio controls are hidden and not very flexible. The ipod controls are nice and quick and it lists quite a few lines at the same time. You basically never have to wait for it to load either.

Also not worth 400, maybe 300, i'd like it more if it was around 250.

I believe you can add disc changers to these Head Units if you want CD play. However, I've always hated those. Don't quote me on that either.
