Just ordered this head unit. I have moved on to using my IPOD but I also have an 8 gig Jump drive. Anyone else have this head unit? The reviews were good and the IPOD/USB interface sounds like it runs well.

Yes, Kenwood 940 watt amp, two Alpine S-10's It sounded ok with the factory stereo, but it wasnt what it used to be in my extended cab s-10. Radio took a crap on me last week.

    Thanks for the info!

I had an old Pioneer head unit I ran in my Truck for over 10 years without a problem. This new one has better reviews than the alpine I was looking at.

Installed the Radio this weekend, Would show pics, but don't have any just yet. Pioneer never seems to dissapoint me! This radio is Clear, Loud! and has many options! I soldered all the wires together for the harness, installed the RCA's and finished hiding my wires. The USB file management is fast and is easy to navigate! I love this Radio! I will take pictures soon.

never disconnect the RCA's when the unit has power.... it will hum like no tomorrow unless they fixed that issue.... Wouldnt recommend finding out the hard way.

I didn't power anything up until I finished ALL the wiring. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I would never disconnect RCA's or anything for that matter while the unit is on.

    good.

There is a fuse for the RCA's that will blow if you do that and then it will hum and require this fix :

    HOLY SHEEP SHEAR!

I have been screwing up strereo equipment for years! J/K I have learned a lot in the past 15 years of running subs and amps in my vehicles. I have more Trial then Error these days.... That thing that sucks it having to tune my amp back to the way I like it.....I had it just right with the factory head unit, and now with the Pioneer, I have been at it again. Sounds damn good when I am listening to Fear Factory, but when its a song with a lot of BASS, its either the rattle in my trunk, or i have the frequency set to high on my lows of the amp.
