I have a 2005 and want to add my sub and amp alpine 1243d sub with directed 400w amp (yes i know its not powerful enough but it runs the sub) My question is how much quality will be lost with a HILO convertor? I dont really want to spend a bunch of $$ on adapters for steering wheel controls, onstar adapter, and a new deck.

    its a LOC converter right?

If so, you'll NEVER notice the difference due to road noise so it wont matter.
