The bulb does telescope to change between high and low. However, not enough; at least for the stock headlights. I don't know what's going on here, but when I switch between the high and low beam, I can notice a change, but the beam pattern gets worse. Thankfully, the lights are brighter than high beams and I haven't had a need for brighter light. I've driven on very dark roads at night, and at highway speeds and that would be the time you need that, but the "low" is bright enough to keep me covered. :) It turns out that the orientation of the bulb makes a difference (DDM said it didn't matter) and I also had the main wiring backwards (oops). Both of those, in combination with each other made it seem like the way I originally had it installed was correct. Through more research and another writeup on here, I was able to correct all my issues with my lights. I now have proper functioning high and low beams, and the brights indicator is no longer constantly on. However, I believe that trimming the bulbs to get them to match is in order, but I won't be able to get to that until next year because of work... ....once the lights are warmed up, they look more yellow than blue, so they look as if they are not blue anymore, which I had grown to like, despite ordering the 5000k originally not wanting blue...
Also, did u get HID fogs too? and also from DDM? Nope, stock. My stock fog lights don't provide any extra light. They used to be brighter than the headlights, even brighter than the sylvania silverstar ultras... but now my HIDs over power them :)
You also got the harness, would you recommend it? I would recommend the harness. The big reason why I got the hi/lo combination was because that package comes with the harness, so the cost is the same.
As far as the error eliminator kit, It's not necessary if you wire it correctly!
That being said, again, I'm very happy with them, and will move the kit from car to car :) :th_thumbsup-wink:
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Re: HID's worth it? Hi/low/fog necessary? Good brands, with good prices?
03gtp...I can be in the front yard and 50 feet away from my barn. turn on the stock fogs and can see them shine on the barn...even with HIDS and halogen fogs, I can still see them working...when I had halogen lows, fogs greatly improved...must be an 04+ thing cause mine still help, not as much with HID lows but I can still see them...very nice addition
too lazy to install my hid fogs ATM.
Re: HID's worth it? Hi/low/fog necessary? Good brands, with good prices?
my factory fogs are H1 bulbs, not the standard 880, so they are already brighter than the other 97-03 guys... also, the stock fogs were brighter than the factory headlights. 97-03 stock lights are just that bad. I even had silverstar ultra's in there for a while.

naaa, when I sell this one, it won't be for an 04+ GP (don't like the interior). I'm not sure what I'm going to get. There are way to many choices. I'm thinking Caddy STS though (yes, STS, not CTS).

I'd rock a 90's STS anyday over the GP.

...um, I was thinking more along the lines of the new body style. at least 2004. Not sure when they redid it. (haven't taken the 2 minutes to figure it out....

90's models to me were above their time but still awesome cars...
It's whatever your pockets can afford lol

I installed DDM tuning HID highs, 55w 4300K, crazy bright, shipping takes a long time but it is coming from China and low cost so what do you expect?, I don't want to blind oncoming drivers so I didn't get them for the lows
