so i got some infinity kappa 6x9s and im wondering if they would beat harder if you made some sort of enclosure like a sub...i work at a plastics factory so making one out of lexon or abs would be a breeze...whats your guy's opinions?

sell them, buy some 8" subs and stick 'em in some boxes.

    Or even buy these:

That little bugger has some crazy excursion for it being an 8" woofer.

its only 14 MM Xmax, ****ers advertise it as peak to peak...

I'd like some of these little bastards though....

    [ SoundSplinter Subwoofers - RL-i 8" Subwoofer Information ]

    Or the 10's.

    Either would be nice

Ditto, I have a 10" Alpine type S with a 400 watt amp and it sounds good. Not to loud, just about what you may be looking for. You will have a cleaner sound out of a sealed sub. The 6X9 will distort if you really throw the bass to it.

Like I said, I already have a 12" sub and 1000 watt amp with sealed box. So I got bass I'm just looking for more bass from the kappas. I'll do so experimenting tommorrow when I don't have school

Sorry, I missed this one.....I think the 12 will drown out the "improved" Bass from the 6x9 at high levels. But low levels you will notice more clarity I would imagine.

Well how about moving the bass from the back to the front so it doesnt sound like the kick drum and the bassist are in two places at once?
