I'm new here. I just bought a 2007 GP. I have a question about my keyless entry and remote start. When using the key fob, it is slow to execute the command. On my truck and previous cars, I only need to press the button and it will open/close doors, etc. To unlock the GP I need to hold the "unlock" for 2 seconds.
    "lock"- 3-4 seconds
    "trunk"- 1 second
    "remote start"- 4 seconds

What could be the problem or is this normal? Thanks for the help.

mine is about the same. the remote start is about 4 seconds. the trunk is about 3 seconds and the door lock and un lock is when i press it. but i might say your battery is going dead.

Door will not lock now. I ordered a new remote, I hope it is an improvement over my current situation.

Well, I guess it is academic at this point, but here is how my 08 works.

Remote start ~ 2-3 seconds (it is designed for a minimum 2 second delay)
Trunk ~ 1 second (I have to be pretty close for it to work, I believe this is also intentional)
    Lock/unlock ~ near instantaneous

You may want to change the battery out, it might be getting weak.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!

Mine did that..then later stopped working. I took it apart and the thing that holds the battery in place was broken off. I just took it off I guess I could try to superglue it. How much did you have to pay for a new one?
