    hey guys im putting a pioneer double din 7 inch lcd with gps, hd radio, bluetooth the whole shebang.....ive done lots of HU installs in 04+gp's but this will be my first dvd/gps unit.....just wanna know if install supplies are the same....im assuming i dont need a dash kit anymore? what about wiring harness' and i will have a brain to mount also.....what sensors or vehicle wires to i need to tap into as far as the brain goes? anyhelp is greatly appreciated thanks...

    All supplies should be the same. However, you may want to tap into a dimmer source. I am unsure on the double DIN stuff. I always go to crutchfield.com and see what they say when you plug your car info in.

    double din wont fit in the 97-03, these cars are din and a half or 1.5din...thanks a lot GM

    If you are putting it in you 00, you can do it, but it takes some fab work. I have not done it, but you can search it. Someone just put up some pics of their install
    2003 White Grand Prix GTP Limited Edition
    - 3.4 pulley, tune by Boostd1/CLINT@AIR, Short Ram Intake, PLOG, 3" ZZP Downpipe, AL 104's, 180* t-stat, Impala STB & 12" cross drilled/slotted/zinc washed rotors, DDM HID's, and put in a heads up display for now...

    And you got me all excited with "big install"...

    It'll hook up just like any other deck but you'll need to mod your dash to get it to fit.

    Go to the junker or PM fish and get a new dash bezel so if yours becomes fubar'd, you have a spare.

    The factory harness is pre-wired for a dimmer, just gotta use the correct harness and you'll be okay.

    its going in an 04+ i know its no biggie i just wanna know what new stuff ill run into with a double din/gps/dvd screen unit......

    if they want to keep the onstar and all of the door chimes there is a special wiring harness that needs to be used. its made by metra. i forget the model number. it would be on crutchfield
