ok well i just picked this car up a few days ago off my cousin and my sis owned it befor he got it. when she had it she had best buy install a pioneer cd player the deal so you can still use the steering wheel controls and to 12's. just so happens that after about 3 or 4 years of it having no problems with it when i get it the cd player takes a crap so tonight i took the working cd player out of my jeep and put it in the gp well the subs work but nothing els i have been going over and over everything trying to figure out what is going on but no luck any help would be much appreciated brandon

speakers are blown? You wired up the new deck incorrectly?

If you were to wire up the new deck the way the old one was... everything should work unless A) the speakers are somehow ****ed now, B) the deck you're putting in is ****ed or C) you screwed up the wiring.

Wiring issues happen to PRO's, check it three times.

Bose system will say on the speaker covers "BOSE".

Boss system would say "blastin' beats LIKE A BAWSS" on 'em.

well im giving up for the night i have been working on this for hr's now with no progress. hears the run down i have checked and re checked the wiring and it is fine. the deck turns on and the subs play but nothing will play over the factory speakers. what on earth could cause this? the other odd thing is how the other cd player had worked fine for yrs and just so happen to take a crap 2 days after i get it.i also hooked it up out side of the car just to power and ground and it still had the same problem where it turns on then off.i was planing on taking the gp on a 5hr trip wednesday but with no radio might have to take the jeep. also he one the is hooked up now is not the one that took the crap it is a newer working one out of my jeep.

if thats the case, you might have a factory amp in your car. There should be one pink wire attached to that whole setup, attach that to the remote power output of your deck and see if that works.

well last night laying in bed unable to sleep i came up with the idea of taking a speaker and hooking it directly up to the deck to see if the problem was with the 4mo old jap deck off ebay or in the car and sure enuff it was the deck i use rca's in my jeep so i was unaware that the speaker out put wire's were bad so i got a new deck today hooked it up and all is well
