My fog lights arent working. Relay clicks when the switch is flipped, fuse is good. Bulbs are good. I got 12.3v to the harness. Now why the **** arent they coming on? Makes no sense to me. Power to the bulb means it should come on...

This might sound silly but have you checked the wires themselves? When i first bought my gtp the one foglight didint work so i replaced the bulb and fuse and it still didnt work and after like an hour i finally noticed the one wire was cut. Little electrical tape and now it works just fine.

Have you put 12 volts directly to the switch; verifing that it is allowing current too flow through it.

If you're getting 12 V at the socket then the bulbs are bad, there's no other reason why the fogs wouldn't work.

If it was a bad ground he wouldn't have gotten 12V at the socket when he put the meter to it, unless he put the (+) probe in the 12 V part of the socket and the (-) probe onto the car (chassis ground) itself...but that would have been retarded. It's the bulbs.

So, to be clear, you have 12 V on both sockets? What else can it be? Did you try the bulbs you purchased on another car or perhaps try another bulb on your sockets? It doesn't make logical sense that your sockets have 12 V and the bulbs don't work. I bought a set of Silverstars some time ago and one was defective and didn't work after I bought it so it's possilbe the bulbs are bad even if they're new.

This happened to me just recently. The problem was the brand new bulb that i just bought. The actual bulb prong coming out was not soldered to the base of the plug. i just put a small piece of wire between the bulb prong and the socket prong so that will connect. you could re-solder it or return it also.

    hope this helps

if thats the case there has to be something wrong with the sockets, try putting a direct hot and ground on the bulb with a buddy holding it to rule that out, then maybe try pickin up new sockets, thats the only option at that point

Just go buy another 880, 893 or whatever bulb type you have and see if it works.

Does the light come on when you flip the switch? Because when I bought mine the little light in the switch didn't turn on and I took off the dash cover and the switch wasnt connected right.
    GP is gone...

alright got it fixed...it was a combination of things. the relay was bad number one. it clicked but it was still bad. 2nd thing was the sockets were worn out. replaced both sockets from a donor gp and everything works now.

GM isn't the best for sockets, put SilverStar Ultras in my 03 S10 and burned 4 (YES 4) left low beam sockets before i went into the dealer, out for blood!
