2000 GP. HID headlights on car when purchased. Looks like they hacked up the original 9007 connector to connect it to the HID system. HID connector if BLUE and the OEM connector goes to it. Out from it the wires go to the connector of the HID bulb. one set of wires comes from the HID bulb connector to the ballast and another set comes from the ballast back to the HID bulb connector. I tell you all this in case someone else has the same system or has seen the same system.

I noticed that the passenger headlight was out last night.
When you initially turn the headlights on, the passenger headlight flickers and kind of glows than goes out.

Does this mean the ballast is dying?
Where do you go to get a new ballast? For that matterm where do you go to get a new bulb? What information do you need to get a replacement that will work?

I don't know where this kit originally came from.

I only had like 5 min to look at it and give you this description. If anybody needs to know something else ask me and I'll get the info when I can.

    Thanks.

well it might be cheaper to buy a whole new kit. If you do just low beam it is pure plug and play. If you do both high and low it comes with wiring and relay hook up.
As long as you got the org. hook up that plugs into the 9007 bulbs your fine.
I put the low system in my headlights and did the fog lights.

Really? Does the 8000K give off enough light? I bet they look awesome from the front, though. Are you happy wihtthe kit? any problems?

I got the 6k in my suburban and 5k in my GTP for both foglights and headlights. I also put a set of 6ks in a ford edge for a frind both headlights and foglights. I know he loves them.
The 6ks have a slight blue, not alot but you can tell. The 8ks are really blue. The 5k are more white which goes good with a red car. The higher the number the less the light output. So 5k has more output then the 6k does.

The low beam works off of your factory wiring. The High uses the relay. So you need to check if your getting power to the relay, if you have the signal when you turn on highs and so on. Without me knowing how it is all wired its hard to say exactly what to look at. But loof at the fuse, power connection, ground connection etc.

no kidding there wouldnt be, the relay has to get power from someplace. you need to follow the wires to the power source once you had found the relay.

then check to make sure you got power from the battery to either pin 30 or 87 pin 85 and 86 is used to trigger the relay. So one will probably be constant ground the other should be 12v when you turn your highs on. if you got 12v and ground on the 85 and 86 pins and you got power on either the 87 or 30 pin but not on the other then try replacing relay. If you have power on both then you either have bad ballasts or bad bulbs.

If you need the harness's for the projector lights (that come with it), I'll have a set available in a week or so... Just depends if you can wait that long...
