The wiring harness you buy to plug into your factory harness tells you everything you need to know. If it is telling you that you have to get the 12v switch from someplace because it isnt in the factory harness then follow the directions.
Newer cars have DATA wires to control things. Basicly computer wire that communicate to another computer.
To get yourself another 12v switched suppy go to igntion switch or to BCM for the ignition. The power ant. is not suppose to be used for anything but to tie into your factory harness for any type of powered antenna. As for any monsoon systems with amps as long as you have your remote output lead going into your remote output lead in the factory harness plugin you will power up your factory amp.
You hook it up incorrectly you can do serious damage to the car. Chances of a dealer fixing it under warranty is VERY slim then.
So FOLLOW the directions very closely or pay to have it done.
