Was wondering how you remove the stock 6x9s in an '05 Grand Prix. The only think that I can see is eaither removing the rear deck or pulling up the stock covers? Is there a trick to removing them or what? Some help would be greatly appreciated it!

for my 98, i had to pull up the bottom of the back seat, undo the bolts holding the upper part of the back seat on and take it off, then pull up the rear deck

The same holds true for the 04+ GPs, you have to remove the bottom the rear seat cushion and then you have undo the two or three bolts that secure the top portion of the back seat to the underbody, where you removed the bottom backseat cushion. Once those the bolts are removed you can take off the top portion of the back seat and then lift off the cover over the speakers and then you will have your access.

And to reassemble, just do reserve of what I said above

    I hope that helps.

yeah, the bolts in question actually hold the seatbelts down, saftey and all...

i think i had 3 bolts?, yeah the only diff you will find is your seats can fold down, make sure they are secured first, then you can remove em easy

no i think thoes uppers stay, thats to hold on the plastic bit...

have you got the bottom seat out? you will see some bolts holding down your seatbelts, as well some loops that connect to the back.. take out the bolts and you should be able to lift the rear seat up towards the back window, and it should pop out

    found this online by googlin

On folding seats, remove the nuts from the seat retainer at the bottom of the rear seat back, fold the seat back cushions down, then remove the bolts from the rear seat latches and take the latches off the seat back. Fold the seat back up, reposition the seat belts
and remove the seat back from the vehicle
