Just picked up my 05 Grand Prix, Im installing a Aftermarket HU, Alpine Type R 12" in a custom 5cuft enclosure, and of course the amp. now since i picked it up last night, and im at work right now, i havent gotten a chance to look under the hood and in the trunk so im Looking on recomendationson where to pass 0 Gauge wire through the firewall, preferably passenger side, but i can work with a driver side passthrough. as well as grounding locations in the trunk for an amplifier.

on my 99 it was thru the passenger side...not sure about ur style tho...most likely the same tho...grounding can be done on the backseat mounts i have mine grounded by a bolt the i think goes to the bumper(its by the 3 screws that hold my taillight on) it works good

a friend with an 04 gp made a hole on the passenger side firewall right where the carpet starts. Make sure you use a rubber grommet.

As far as grounding, he made his own ground.

i used the massive rubber grommet in the passenger floorboard, although i cant get it to sit back in the hole with the wire there so i think i might have to drilled though the grommet and do it that way

i have an 06...peel the carpet back in the passenger floorboard, u should see where wires are coming through a hole right below the glove box. I had to go in the engine bay with a screw driver and poke the rubber boot to make it bigger so i could get the wire to fit.
