The audio control buttons on the LH side of my steering wheel went dark. Guess I have a light out. Best way to go about fixing that?

I have the write up bookmarked on my home computer. I will post it when I get home. You have to open the switch and solder in a replacement bulb. You can get the replacement bulb at Radio shack. Or you can go on ZZP's site and look for the LED replacement controls.
ZZ Performance
I found a write up on ClubGP (can I say that here?)
ClubGP:
I bought a set off a member here, but went to put it in and that one is burned out also. Thinking of stopping by radio shack and try to get a replacement..
Good Luck...
easy to do, done it to both mine, not that hard.
ha, easy said, try replacing the lights on my shifter in a 04+
ooh, you hafta take the entire center console out for that right?
lol you guessed it...but you need a special tool down under the console to finally release it...when I was running my hot wire from my battery to the trunk under the carpet, I had to cut a small hole to run it under the carpet cause I couldnt get the whole center out...but you can never tell unless you took the side plastic off![]()
I been wanting to change my gear LED's but there's a certain tool you need...unless there's a way to release that particular part...
don't know how to do that on the newer models. Ive had to do it on mine to put in new carpet. Total pain in the ass it was = /
yeah, i have no idea what kind of tool I need for that center console, but I tried with a flat-head, nothing....some how it releases it...but If i could ever get it ou, I could replace my LED's....until then, its Black-out shifter!!! good thing my DIC tells me what gear i'm in lol
uhm not sure on that model but there could be bolts under the center console holding it down
yeah once u take out the bolts inside the console, there's this metal plate thing with a square hole...its complicated...
bolts under the hole?
yeah I think sooo but somehow that metal plate has something to do with it...
Hmm w/o looking @ it I have no idea. Cut off the plate??
its been a while, that could be possible though lol...I wish I was at home, I could get you some pics...I wanted to go "all blue" with the inside LED's anyways
