Is that one an IR or is it wired to the steering wheel?

I mad a little mistake its the swi-ps I have, the swi-x was one I ordered and it was the ir so i sold that one and ordered the one i got now for a cleaner installation.
You connect it to the factory wiring and than it plugs into the back of deck, all you need to do after is program is which is pretty easy.
theres also an swi-jack that works with some brands other than sony/pioneer also.

No sh*t...will it work with Alpine?, I wonder if it would be only certain models of Alpine?
I would like to have my steering wheel controls back.
How much does it go for?

For an alpine deck you would want the "swi-jack" model. It will work if your deck has a wired remote jack on the back of it, looks like an auxilary jack but for remote control.
Heres the website for all the products... Products

these are the compatible list of alpine decks, just have to look to see if yours is one of them.

Right now on ebay the swi-jack is about 55.00$ and 14.00 shipping in canadian dollars. Before I purchased mine I went to the local stereo installer and he wanted 150.00!, I turned to ebay, lol
