So is it possible to use the factory XM antenna with an after market radio. I don't wanna have to add another one. Anyone know if there's any way to custom wire it to work? I have a head unit that's XM ready and the module and antenna that came with it for XM. Just don't want to add another antenna on the roof

Yes, the GM antenna should work if you already have the tuner module for your aftermarket radio. The factory antenna has to be unplugged from the silver box that is the factory XM tuner, which won't work with an aftermarket radio. The factory antenna should have a plastic shroud on the connector that needs to be popped off though.
