The door panel has to come off. It is rather simple to take off. There is a plate on the pull handle on the inside of the door. Pop that plate off and there are two hex head screws in there (sorry, I don't remember the size). I do remember that I had to use a smaller (thin walled) socket that came with a 1/4 drive set I had. The one that came with my 3/8 drive set was too thick and would not fit down inside the recesses where the bolt heads are.

Anyway, take those to off and then use a rigid putty knife or scraper to pry the panel away from the door. Something that's pretty rigid but wide so it doesn't damage the plastic panel. I also put some blue painters tape around the putty knife so it wouldn't scratch it. Once you get the clips loose on the panel, then you can pull up and kind of out to get off the top of the door and clear the door lock knob on the top.

You should be able to remove the switch from the inside of the panel.

Sorry, I replaced my speakers in the front just a few days before joining this forum myself and didn't think to take any pictures.
