04+ Cluster Bulb Swap & (abandoned) DIC Project

I came back to this a few weeks ago. The DIC buttons cannot be changed. I removed enough material to know they are permanently red.

I thought maybe a yellow LED for the screen might look ok if the buttons were lit by a different LED. This wouldn't match my car, and I wouldn't like the end result. My project is abandoned.

I remember seeing someone had done up a blue light 04+ dic and had it for sale. Soooo.

Agreed. You can also see they didn't have any luck changing the buttons. I really wanted to change out the whole console, radio n all.

The link in this quote shows the swapped DIC you might be referring to. Maybe some year or other car had white or clear buttons, but at least these two don't. It's been frustrating and disappointing deciding to leave it alone.
