It seems when my sunroof is open all the way back I get really crappy XM reception (tho the reception isn't all that great when the sunroof is closed either). When I look at the antenna it is partially covered by the sunroof. Does anyone else have this problem? Would an aftermarket antenna help? If so, any suggestions for a aftermarket?

um I have a 06 and when I did have my XM, sometimes it would cut out around trees. other than that I had no issues for the 1yr I used it. my suggestion is call XM and see if they have like a "signal booster".

also what paint is that on ur car? its nice

Paint is Superior Blue. It's got the Special Edition package on it and according to the dealer I got it from this is the only way to get that color. I haven't been able to verify that though. Color looks even better in person

By "reception" do you mean that the sound keeps cutting in and out? Or do you mean that it sounds bad? It's a digital signal, so it's not like FM where you can get varying sound quality; either you get the signal or you don't.

If it's cutting in and out, did it just suddenly start doing this, or has it always done it? As offroadfury says, sometimes you just can't see the satellite.

It's cutting in and out. My gf has XM in her Cobalt and it doesn't cut out like this and we'll drive the same areas as I do in my GP. Today, I was at a stop light and it was cutting in and out without me even moving

ask the dealer, they might know of a fix or at least give ya a cost for repair.
