Lets try and make a long story short I had a radio installed in my previous 2004 Grand Prix gt with no monsoon option. I then bought a 2005 GTP with monsoon and swapped the radio into that it worked flawlessly for a year or two. One issue I had awhile back was that the remote wire was not working to power on my alpine mrp-m500 amp so I ran the remote for the amp to direct power and installed a switch...went to Chicago last month and left the amp on and when I came back it was dead no juice at all so I did jump it and it started but noticed my (gas, temp, rpm, traction control, cruise control, aftermarket radio not powering on) all stopped working. After some troubleshooting I was able to figure out my factory radio made everything work again. So I made the decision to change harness to the Pac RP5-GM11 and I now have power and all gauges are working but no audio at all? Please help? There is a mute wire I am unsure if it should stay in the loop it is in or to cut it. Have tried to cut it no change.
1. Radio installed at best buy into 04 GT
2. Radio swapped into 05 GTP. W/monsoon
3. Remote wire stopped working on axxess harness.
4. Left for 3 day vacation returned and car dead and radio not working with all gauges listed above.
5. Replaced axxess harness with Pac harness now there is power at the radio
6. No audio with aftermarket but when I reconnect factory radio all speakers work.
7. I cry uncontrollably for hours without my aftermarket radio perks.
