I'm about to order an Aeroforce gauge for my 04 Comp G, but I'm looking into how to hook it up and I'm getting conflicting information. Some say it's plug-and-play to the OBDII port, others say you need to wire power to it. What does it take to install one of these in my car? I don't want to wire in a wideband setup or anything, just monitor KR. I know this has probably been answered dozens of times before, but I've found 3 different answers.

A lot of cars are different. My 99 and 2001 both wanted a power wire to cycle on and off normally. Before I used the add a circuit to give them power, the gauge wouldn't turn on when the car was started unless I unplugged it and plugged it into the obd2 port.

Here's hoping it works like it should, from what I understand all 04+ should be plug and play. Got everything to make it look stock, too

Plug in the OBD. If it works, great. If not, you need the power wire.

I'm not sure about the 04-05s, but for my 06 it's plug and play.

Got it, just plug and play. Now I've just gotta set it so they don't both read KR lol.

Have it cycle through 8 different things, best way to use that gauge.

Then you can just click either button to bring it out of cycle mode and be able to pick two pids and watch them whenever you need too. Watching just kr or just timing all the time doesn't put the gauge to use really.
