Can someone help me troubleshoot this problem? I really don't understand how the rear speakers work on this. Why are there 4 wires per speaker? I understand the standard wiring but why are there capacitors? Attached is a pic of the drivers side speaker. The yellow and brown wires feed the speaker from the radio but what are the other wires?

The four wires are used because the woofer and tweeter (two-way speaker) are wired separately. The capacitor is the crossover/ bass blocker for the tweeter. If you were to replace the speakers with aftermarket speakers you would only need the yellow/brown wires to wire to the speakers. The blue/green wires are for lows only.

Is that standard for a 94? Would blown speakers act the way I described? Thanks in advance
