One of my intakes with MAF upgrade, tune and a ZZP downpipe will comfortably get you 25-30 wheel horsepower. http://www.getoverkilled.ca/ls4.html
180* stat is highly optional, stock is 187. Modding the stock airbox is better than building an intake on the stock tune. Remove the rear O2 pinch if you can't do a full downpipe, its as bad as the 97-03 Ubend. Fresh plugs and wires are always a good idea.
