Either you get a downpipe or headers not both. Headers replace the downpipe. As far as getting one with a Cat..that depends on if you have emissions testing in your area or not. I'm sure 91parkave will chime in here.

No emmisions testing in Florida. At least whwre i live. Im assuming the headers would give me a lot more performance than a downpipe

Headers won't give you the seat in the pants power till your flooring it somewhere, passing etc. Part throttle ispretty much the same although everyone's experience is different. There definatley worth it if you're upgrading other things as well.

You will get a louder exhaust without the cat. The "power" band feel also shifts up slighty. You will get some better highway mileage as well.

Remember though you're not deleting the cat without throwing a code you will need a tune

I changed spark plugs to ngk and did a raiator flush. Now my display for the outside temperature is off. It is displaying in the 30s when it is actually 80 to 90 degrees out. Any clue why?

bad temp sensor located in the bumper, its clipped to the middle pass side of the rad support. it looks like a plug just ends. its a little thing that plugs into a pig tail.

are u sure your aftermarket alternator isnt a 190amp? when i redid the wiring harness in my monte i put a 190-220 amp alternator on it before i put the motor back in the car because i plan on puttin a wall in the back of the car. at idle it runs about 190amps and at 1800 rpms or more it can run from 200-220 amps

I changed the ambient temperature sensor and it's still reading in the 30s. Any thoughts? My ac is also having problems. Sometimes it blows cold and sometimes it doesn't. The Times it does is when I'm driving. My compressor is not moving when it isn't blowing cold air. I checked the Freon while the compressor was going and it was in the middle of the green. Some days it won't come on at all. I checked the relay and the fuse for the compressor and they are both good. I'm lost. Gonna take it to an auto shop, Just don't want to drop a ton of money on it. Had other plans, but oh well. I'll keep trying til Friday when I take it to the shop.

If the ambient temp sensor reads below 30-40 degree's it will not cycle the AC on and off.

    That could be the problem.
