I have a 2008 GXP and am having ALL of the same issues. I have two questions: does it hurt anything to unplug the battery current sensor so at least you have brake lights, and is there any EASY way to get the sensor on the cable.

Hello I have a 2006 grand Prix I recently bought from a guy.. Ive noticed on the dash it says service break apply sensor... My breaks come on only when i make a complete stop. They do not give off warning that im slowing down until im a 0 mph.. In the last month I have spent well over 700$ trying to fix the problem.. I've replaced the
Brake switch-
Brake pedal position sensor-
Body control module-
Checking all wires for short
Another body control module
Plus labor..
I'm so tired of getting the run around I just need some real advice that will help my problem.
Thank you
My problems with brake lights continued until the dealership had to "reteach" the brake light switch. Seems like something they would do early on but they didn't do mine until the third trip to the garage. I'm still uncomfortable saying it's fixed, with everything I did, it always seemed to go away for awhile and then come back. Good Luck
