My ride runs from 190 to 202 on 95* days, but my trand gets up to 192* can I make things cooler with a lower temp t-stat?

You can make the engine run cooler with a tstat, which is dumb. You can't make the trans run cooler.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Don't change the thermostat. The best fix for the trans temp is to install a stand-alone trans cooler and get the radiator out of the mix entirely. Plenty of threads about trans coolers here and other GP/LS4 sites that discuss this very issue. Tripleedgeperformance.com has a kit for sale to do this. You can do it cheaper by gathering the parts yourself, but Dave @TEP has everything you need all set in his kit.

I wouldn't recommend changing to a lower temp thermo. Remember we have aluminum V8's, and aluminum will expand/contract more with temps than iron blocks will.

Thanks, I am all new to these motors, seems like that is normal, I installed a large trans cooler and that seems to work well, execpt on very warm days 97+ so from what I read its ok and not much else can be done. thanks for the info folks.
