    Can you out flow it??

I highly doubt it, unless your running a stupid high HP turbo setup.

Ebay has nice AEM filters, otherwise any high flow, non oiled filter will suffice.

    This should help.

    LS4 Store

Consider looking into a dry filter like amsoil.

Spacers are like "snake-oil" won't help in the least bit.

Dry filters are preferred since the MAF can easily get coated in oil and cause stuttering/other oddball issues.

Everyone who says oiled filters can cause MAF problems are just being parrots. I have used oiled filters for over 12 years now and have NEVER had a MAF issue.

I actually use a K&N oil based still, I DO have to clean my MAF about once a month, otherwise I get the stuttering and odd RPM fluctuations. It's no myth.

User error. You are overoiling your filter. I have NEVER NEVER NEVER had oil issues with my MAF.

Oil filters dont filter as well as paper.

Is that reason enough not to use them?

Yet, my brother (as well as several others) ran oil based filters on DIRT TRACK cars and never had a problem. If an oil based filter can handle a dirt track, it can handle a daily driver just fine.

Seeing as how it has 10k miles on it and I have yet to re-oil it, meaning it still has the manufacturers application of oil on it, it's not user error. There is plenty of testimonial out there to prove you are a minority when it comes to the MAF issue.

Its the other way around. You are only going to see people post who have problems. People aren't going to post when they don't have problems.

I belong to other forums and there are probably 10,000 members with oil base filters and maybe 2 or 3 have had problems. Its not a common issue. Its only an issue if the filter is over oiled.
