Has anyone sprayed their GXP. Obivously our cars dont need the extra power down low, but freeway pulls with spray are fantastic. Anybody know what our engines can take safely? I know the LS family loves nitrous, so i can only expect our engines to be the same. Thx all.

what are the penalties of getting caught with spray? im pretty sure its horrible here in GA and is considered hazmat or something

Dunno about penalties, but I'm sure there is a way to legally use N20 even if it involves removing the bottle when on the street or something. Several guys have safely run 100HP wet shots in these cars. Rossko85 used to post on here, and he runs the N20 with a rear mount turbo now.

ANY LS based motor CAN take 150wet shot everyday of the week for years.

I sprayed my truck 300 2 years ago. never had any problems, and plugs/pistons looked brand new when I pulled the heads for better ones.

ive just always heard that nos was so bad for motors, my uncle had a 75 shot on his rsx and it didnt seem to hurt it...he had the zex kit that opens and closes at certain rpm's

Just make sure to pull some timing out when you do spray.

yeah that about right, or you can get a used kit for cheaper. Also, here's a little clip of a post I made over at LS1tech.

that looks like a decent kit. I ran a zex wet kit on my vette with good results. Here's a list of HIGHLY recommended things you should get:

    window switch
bottle warmer (pressure controlled not temperature)
fuel and nitrous filters (if the kit doesn't come with them)
    fuel pressure safety switch
remote bottle opener (not a must but recommended)
    tune
    NGK TR6's gapped at .040"

I have quit a bit of experience with nitrous, if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.

I have a N2O system set up in my GXP. Rossko IS THE MAN when it comes to N2O and our cars. I can send you his PMs explaining his philosophy and setup if you want. Following his advice I went with a wet system with all the safety features.
2006 GXP almost done! I/H/C/E, TEPw/3.29s, small shot
