I know the gxp has 18x8 rims in the front and the back rims are 18x7.. has anyone put 18x8 on all four wheels what was the outcome , sound silly, but over time there could be/have one....

When people do that they also just switch to a 245/45/18 to make the tire selection more than triple.

The 255/40's are a pricey tire and not much selection compared to 245/45.

a lot of people run 18X8's on the front and back, 97-03 people included. not really any reason not too if you can find a decent set for a good price.

Yeah I'm just debating on switching to all around 18x8 and keep the same tire sizes 45 in front and 50 in the back ... That's one thing I will not change ..

Just get another set of front wheels.

Run the 18x8's all around that way you can rotate tires like a normal person.

    I ran 275/40/18 NT555R's on my GXP.

They didn't rub at all with factory struts/springs.

Thanks guys .. I think I'll leave em 45 in the front and 50 in the back though , got reasons for that .. just wanted to know how the 8x18 did in the back , didn't know if they will rub ..

If you want to keep the stock tire sizes in the back then you have zero reason to get 8" wheels for the back. The whole purpose of getting 2 more 8" wheels is to run the same size tires on all 4.
