So I just bought a $400 GTP (I know right) Its in pretty good condition, needs tierods, wheel bearings, brakes and tires. Besides that it needs new coolant elbows, im going to replace them this weekend, but while im in there since the car is new to me, is there anything I should do and or look for?

not really, dont fix whats not broken. best rule of thumb.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

That area, while I have it partially apart, I know I have to pull the belts, and a few other things off to get to them.

belt and the alt is it. 3 bolts and its off, theres a hidden one at the back you cant see really.

see it hiding under the tube there.

thats a 98 style alt bracket, your looks a bit different, that hole in the lim is for the upper elbow, ( not installed) the bottom tube there for the heater core has a cast elbow and its in the hole. this was just a dry bolt up, the heads aint even bolted up yet in this pic.

billys how to. with pics http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...coolant-elbows the 97-98 one is not in the pics. those are what yours looks like tho with 2 plastic elbows.

Should I run an engine oil flush? aka stick some gunk engine flush in the oil and run it through?
I always hear mixed reviews on flushing.

when you take the alt assembly off, take a good long look in the valley, see if the lower intake manifold gaskets are plastic or metal. if plastic, i wouldnt put it back together without changing those.
