Just blew my motor in the bottom end of an 04 comp g. Can I use the bottom end of a series two or series three NA 3800 and just swap my top half over?? I've seen the conversions so I don't see there being an issue except the NA motors have higher compression. Can anybody offer some insight to me before I start spending more money I don't have...

thats what i did. aka bottom swap.

only i found another set of heads and ported them some modded the lim, already had headers, if you dont have headers you need em now.

and you take all your sc pulleys and balancer and put it all on the n/a engine.

as long as the engines out of the car re gasket the whole thing, back cover oil pan and so on. it ran me 200 in gaskets, bolts and fluids.

lower conversion gasket kit covers the bottom front and back of the engine for 30 bucks, head and lim gasket kits and you got every gasket you need.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

I did already have headers, intake, intercooler, 3.4 pulley, plugs, plug wires. While its out I plan on adding injectors, a cam, and rockers. Transmission is going to be rebuilt too.
