cHECK AND MAKE SURE THE COOLANT OVERFLOW LINES ARE ON GOOD. Also check the actual radiator. New parts somtimes go bad and are not made correctly.
Usually when they go bad it is on the ends where they weld the tanks on. so look there first.

What he said above...sometimes the hoses need to be retightened. I would check them all, just in case. Also check around the water pump for signs of coolant. It could be coming out of the weep hole on the bottom of the pump. Not likely the way you describe it but still a good idea to check.
I have the same exact problem on mine but its coming from the driver side without smoke though. I just did a bunch of mods to my engine so maybe I didn't reattach a hose tight enough or would it be a different story because its on the other side of the engine?
Wow what an old thread dude. lol. But check where ur thermotat housing is. Did u bleed the system? might have a leak at the hose to the bottom on the PCM side.
I don't think its that, the car is not running hot at all and so far I don't think its leaking any anti freeze. I'm gonna let the car sit a little bit and see if it drips but I did just replace the pcm and the tstat but like I said the car is not running hot or leaking so far its just smells like anti freeze is burning on the driver side.
Are u positive its not leaking at the thermostat housing? Did u replace the o-ring and gasket it for it? u might not notice it as it could be slowly leaking under the LIM where it sits on top of the block. Take a little hand held mirror if u have one and look directly under the crossover.
Let me know so i can help u as much as i can.
