Is it accessible from the trunk? Or do i need to drop the tank
most are, 05-06 failed to have the trap door in the trunk. iirc.
I see a oval plate bolted down in the trunk and assumed it was for the pump. Is the motor easy to change out in the assembly or do you know?
relatively speaking. yes it is. if you can remove the canister from the trunk, you can change the pump too. its just a plug a sock filter and a hose and a clamp.
theres got to be a how to on youtube. its the same for pretty much every gm canister and pump that drops in from the top.
found one.
ff to like 530. he dont change the pump, but you can see what your gonna deal with. its clearly not a gp, but the canister is the same style. the pump is the round thing inside the bottom of the canister. you just un hook it and swap it. drop the canister back in.

Awesome, thx for the help
And for less than most aftermarket full canisters, you can get a performance pump like the Walbro 255.
This
Ac delco replacement pumps like $40-50 on eBay comes with everything you need to rebuild your current one. It's hard to beat the reliability of a stock delco pump.. The same can't really be said with the aftermarket high flow pumps. Just food for thought.

Its the first whole assembly.
I would rather spend $20 more and get a genuine Ac delco one.. Unless of course you wanna do this again if that one fails :). Stocker lasted you this long... What more could you want.

Do you have a link for the whole assembly for that price?
Give me a few let me view that link on a actual computer I have a feeling $70 for a entire assembly is to good to be true.

Ok, i got the link from a youtube video where the guy got it there and it worked. Only reason i knew about it lol. I just cant afford $250+ right now, so i was looking for a cheap fix, because lets face it......the dam thing still overheats when it does run lol
There is 2 locking tabs on each side. It takes a bit of force but I usually push one in while pulling on the harness side until it moves. Then push the other one in and pull up, carful not to relock the side that you just loosened. There is a lot of tension on the tabs so it takes some force on the tabs, but once both are unlocked it comes out pretty easy.
Ya i got that part out, but the pump itself will not come out of the plastic housing
Picture? Once you disconnect power and fuel line it should pull right out.
Cant post a pic, on my phone and it tells me its to big of a file
