    In the middle of doin a rocker arm for a buddy doin a mild build and looked up a couple threads for Torquing rocker arm bolts want to know what are the appropiate torque specs for Stock Rocker arms with Reusable bolts? Thanks guys

    25 fp is what i was told to use. make sure the bolt holes are clean and dry.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Ok i will try that.. Scotty doggs.. Does is matter which bolt? He has reusable rocker arm bolts... Not the stock torque to yield bolts

    ive got re usable bolts thats what i tq em to.


    iirc, jay, bill and greg all said the same tq @25.......and i just set them to the same last week when i put my rockers on the new engine.

    oem bolts are tq to 11, reusable ones, comp, arp, etc @ 25

    Ok cool thanks .. Also.. Which size fits the reusable bolts? i have a duralast allen key size 6 socket but its stripping the bolt when i torque it.. Buddy purchased them from ZZP site im oddly enough finished with the rear the front is what is giving me a little issues

    The ones I got were 3/8s 12 point bolts.

    i took mine into HF then matched them up to what fit best, iirc im using a standard size allen socket.

    5/16' SHCS = 1/4" Hex. SAE standard.

    Can you reuse the TTY rocker bolts by torquing them then the proper number of degrees past? I did this on several 3.1's when doing LIM's and didn't have a problem. Just wondering if I got lucky due to EFS, for head bolts I wouldn't do this but I figured rockers shouldn't be a big deal.
