I don't know the name of these two parts, but they're small cylinders, with a slot down the length of them (like a piece of metal folded into a cylinder.)

I believe they were in between the LIM and the supercharger, and I believe they were just to help align everything when reinstalling. They aren't a critical part, are they?

I forgot to use them, but the supercharger's already torqued down with the new gasket. Should I just leave it alone? Will the gasket be ruined if I take the supercharger off again, or will it still be OK if I haven't run the engine?

im thinking you'll be ok dont think people use them when a ic is installed.

if you have not run the car, or not ran it long you could take the sc off and install them. gen 3 plenum gaskets are cheap if it tears on you.

I agree and I think you should spend the 15 minutes now and put the dowels in.

If you have too much trouble with brackets lining up, and supercharger pulley alignment. Eyeball the pulley and see it is lined up ok.

To be clear, these aren't the ones in the snout. I think they were in the LIM, and guessed they were just to help align the gasket and supercharger during reassembly. But everything's aligned without them, and torqued to spec. Just wanted to be sure they weren't required for some other reason, but I can't imagine they'd contribute significantly to "holding force" when there are ten bolts torqued down around the housing.

they dont contribute to "holding force"

they keep everything in line while you tighten the bolts. with just the bolts there is significant slop. ive seen way too many cars that chew up belts.
